Springfield Tops Essig

The Tigers traveled to Essig for a Tuesday night matchup against the Bluejays. All of the scoring was contained in the 3rd and 4th innings. Springfield put up three runs in each frame. Essig plated three in the third and just two in the fourth. That would be the difference as Justin Haugo and Brandon Wilhelmi combined for five shutout innings after Essig battled to within one run.
NOTES: Essig hosted the Tigers for their first ever night game in 2015. The Tigers have gotten the best of the Bluejays in each of the night games they have played at the Essig Ballpark, tonight's win moving them the 6-0. The Tigers one loss in Essig since that first night game was in one day game in 2017.
