Five Run First Propels Tigers Over Brewers

For the second game in a row it was first inning runs that made all the difference. This time Springfield plated five runs in the bottom of the first to jump out to a 5-0 lead on their way to a 6-1 victory.
NOTES: The Tigers unveiled their new red jerseys against the Brewers. The COVID-19 pandemic slowed down their arrival, but they were worth the wait! After going with "Tigers" on the front of the last two sets of new jerseys and "S" before that, it marks the first time since 2007 that the Tigers have worn "Springfield" across their chests. The blue jerseys with the red "Tigers" will remain in the rotation, however.
Tweet All About it: Another 249 socially distanced fans (minus the @HanskaLakers guys...all over each other) saw the Tigers jump out to a 5-0 lead & never look back. @jdmilbrath & @brandonwilhelmi chucked it well. @Erickson_6 & @Mitchel41792239 both crushed RBI doubles. Back at it Friday at home.
