Tigers Win Tomahawk East Opener

The Tomahawk East League's newest member, the Fairfax Cardinals, played hosted to the Tigers for their debut in league play.
NOTES: Springfield last played in Fairfax in 2008 when they traveled to Memorial Park for an early season exhibition contest. Brandon Wilhelmi, Ryan Sturm, and Marty Brandl were the only Tigers who played in both the 2008 and 2020 match-ups...Jordan Milbrath made his highly anticipated mound return for the Tigers. His last appearance on the bump was May 26, 2013 at Stark. The stat lines were similar as he finished the last two innings of each ball game, striking out 5 in 2013 and 4 in 2020...Fairfax starting pitcher Zach Johnson played for the Tigers in 2015 and part of 2016.
